In the online series #SustainableCampus we share stories about our sustainability approach as Campus, and how we would like to become the Most Sustainable Campus in Europe.

The Discovery Forest is a new ecological initiative that promotes biodiversity and is located at the High Tech Campus, next to Nemo Daycare. The Discovery Forest has educational value for the children in the daycare. The kids can play, enjoy the nature and learn more about sustainability. And of course, our residents are also very welcome to walk through the forest.

This month, we got some help of these small heroes in planting the first trees in our new Discovery Forest. Watch this video, by our facility partner Dolmans Landscaping Group.

Circularity
Together, our facility partners (Dolmans Landscaping Group, Yask, Eurest, MAAS and Beelen) collect coffee grounds and other organic waste (called swill). The swill no longer has to leave the Campus, because we can turn it into compost.  This compost is for example being used in the creation of the new Discovery Forest.
