As an Equipment Engineer at SMART Photonics, you will play a key role in maintaining semiconductor equipment to ensure maximum uptime and performance. You will work closely with other teams, such as Operations and Process Engineers, to enhance the efficiency and capacity of equipment while ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

In this role, you will report to the Cluster Lead of the Equipment Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Execute equipment preventive maintenances;
  • Optimize equipment uptime;
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and resolve complex issues

Equipment Optimization & Improvement:

  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement;
  • Implement improvement initiatives, updating FMEA;
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers and Operations to drive process improvements;
  • Prepare preventive maintenance procedures;
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Capacity & Productivity Enhancement:

  • Optimize maintenance schedules and participate in projects for tool introduction and modification;
  • Analyze tool behavior and propose solutions for root cause issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent HBO level), such as Electrical or Mechanical Engineering;
  • Experience in semiconductor equipment or related industry is a plus;
  • Hands-on mentality – you like to work with equipment;
  • Cleanroom experience or strong affinity with it;
  • Flexibility and able to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment;
  • Great communication skills in English.
